Dodge Unveils Pricing and Details for 2024 Charger Daytona

Dodge has announced pricing and specifications for its highly anticipated 2024 Charger Daytona, marking the brand's first foray into all-electric muscle cars. The new model aims to set performance benchmarks while introducing cutting-edge EV technology to the iconic Charger lineup.


Pricing and Performance


The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona will be available in two high-performance trims. The Charger Daytona R/T has a starting price of $57,790 CAD and delivers an output of 496 horsepower and 404 lb.-ft. of torque. It includes the Direct Connection Stage 1 Upgrade as standard. The Charger Daytona Scat Pack, starting at $89,790 CAD, boasts an impressive output of 670 horsepower and 627 lb.-ft. of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and includes both the Track Package and Direct Connection Stage 2 Upgrade.


Electric Vehicle Features


As Dodge's first all-electric vehicle, the 2024 Charger Daytona will initially be available in British Columbia and Quebec before expanding to other markets. It is expected to qualify for up to $5,000 in federal EV rebates and up to $7,000 in provincial incentives. Buyers can choose between two charging packages: the Free2move Charge Home Package with a 48-amp Level 2 charging station, or the Free2move Charge Go Package with public charging credits. The Charger Daytona can be recharged from 20% to 80% in under 27 minutes using a Level 3 DC fast charger.


Performance and Design Innovations


The all-electric Charger Daytona features a dual motor system with all-wheel drive, a Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system, and a PowerShot feature for temporary horsepower boost. It offers multiple drive modes including Auto, Eco, Sport, and Wet/Snow, as well as advanced safety systems like automated emergency braking and blind spot detection.


Interior and User Experience


The driver-focused interior includes a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, performance displays with head-up display and digital cluster, and heated front seats with power adjustment.


Production and Availability


Two-door Charger Daytona models will begin production in summer 2024 at the Windsor Assembly Plant in Ontario. Four-door variants are slated for production in the first half of 2025, with gas-powered models following in the second half of 2025. The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona is expected to arrive at dealerships in the fourth quarter of 2024, signaling a new era for the Dodge brand and the Canadian automotive industry.
